Deviation Actions
So it's been a while since I've paid much attention to my DevART journal and account. Apart from collecting photos, reading other users journal and joining in on the odd poll I've not made full usage of the features or the forums, which I used to frequent when I first got my account. I blame my social life mainly but will never regret it. Now I'm finding myself being more organised (Still a chaotic mess) and have more time to do what I want to do I will be posting some more recent photography.
The first thing I knew I had to do was update my journal. The last entry was sometime in March I think (I never double checked because I didn't want to know). As a person I've changed over the year and have started making realisations with both my artistic life and my personal life.
Street photography has become my new hobby but I'm not going out as much as I should if I want to improve. Let's see if I change that over the New Year.
Xmas is coming up and although I'm too old for Santa, I wish he would bring me a Leica M9P. Unfortunately I've not been the best behaved so I'll have to settle with much cheaper presents.
Wishing you all a good holiday season...
Bye for now.

HOLGA Lens
I bought a Holga lens for my Nikon D80 and got it today. What I didn't realise is that some of the effects I've seen done with a Holga lens are created by filters and I haven't got any filters.
I plan on buying a few filters and lens accessories for my Holga lens during the year. However, I'm happy with the purchase and have already started using it taking note of the way it underexposes everything.
Another downfall with the Holga lens is that it is a plastic lens and therefore has no aperture values (aperture is fixed) and it has nothing digital involved leaving it with no auto focus and no metering.
I've just been trying to get used to
Need to get organised..
I have a flickr account, a redbubble account, a deviantart account and a blog.. I need to update them more often because I find I'm always neglecting at least one of them even if I'm spending time with them. Organising my time better would help so I guess I need to get organised.
Fisheye
I got a macro fisheye lens converter through the post on Monday and made the most of it yesterday. I went for a walk to a local landmark and managed to get some nice shots with the converter saying as I was in a small enclosed space. I think that's what a fisheye comes in useful for. I mean it's all nice getting shots that look strange but I've always been the type of photographer who votes against fisheye because the effect is somewhat overused.
Anyway, I was pleased with my results and even shot a HDR of the landmark (without tripod though) which I'm trying to do more of. I have the software for HDR so it only makes sense if I use it.
Solo
Well, I sent my CV and links to the employer to find an email error saying 'invalid recpient' so I gave up that route of venture.
I was advised by a mental health nurse not to go ahead with the pursuit of seeking work and so I left it at that. Maybe it would create to much pressure for me in my current state of being.
However, it has given me inspiration to proceed with photography and to make photos because it is what I enjoy.
I am going to Preston tomorrow and I'm taking my camera. I'm going with Creative Support to see an exhibition where one of my photographs is on show. It is one I took whilst I was a college student and printed on
