It was only after many long frustrating hours of trying to describe what’s so special about the photographs of cweeks (https://www.deviantart.com/cweeks)...
That I finally realized I was trying to describe something that wasn’t there.
I finally realized that the magical something that sets cweeks (https://www.deviantart.com/cweeks)’ works apart from others is that his camera disappears. There is no sense as you look at his photos of street scenes and other captures that you are looking through a lens, even the lens of a particularly talented photographer. There is a sense of simply walkin

When a subject poses to have his or her photograph taken, the subject tries to project a message about himself or
herself by how he or she “poses”, by the attitude of his or her body language or facial expression.
If the subject is posed by the photographer, the body pulled and prodded into the desired angles,
the facial expression “directed”, it is the photographer who is intending to communicate a message.
In either case, posing or posed, there is undeniably something

So it's been a while since I've paid much attention to my DevART journal and account. Apart from collecting photos, reading other users journal and joining in on the odd poll I've not made full usage of the features or the forums, which I used to frequent when I first got my account. I blame my social life mainly but will never regret it. Now I'm finding myself being more organised (Still a chaotic mess) and have more time to do what I want to do I will be posting some more recent photography.
The first thing I knew I had to do was update my journal. The last entry was sometime in March I think (I never double checked because I didn't wa
I bought a Holga lens for my Nikon D80 and got it today. What I didn't realise is that some of the effects I've seen done with a Holga lens are created by filters and I haven't got any filters.
I plan on buying a few filters and lens accessories for my Holga lens during the year. However, I'm happy with the purchase and have already started using it taking note of the way it underexposes everything.
Another downfall with the Holga lens is that it is a plastic lens and therefore has no aperture values (aperture is fixed) and it has nothing digital involved leaving it with no auto focus and no metering.
I've just been trying to get used to
I have a flickr account, a redbubble account, a deviantart account and a blog.. I need to update them more often because I find I'm always neglecting at least one of them even if I'm spending time with them. Organising my time better would help so I guess I need to get organised.
